Overburden Project 1 is focused on Sustainability as opposed to Overburden.
Geographically, an overburden is rock or soil overlying a mineral deposit,
archaeological site, or other underground feature.
Overburden is often taken out during mining process.
People endlessly mining for unnecessary resources, harming the environment.
In the fashion industry, people have more clothes than they need.
Creating garments is not an art anymore.
The profession I love harms both our environment and living beings like mining.
Therefore for this collection, is inspired overbyrden with sustainable practice.
I used biogredable or regenerated materials with natural dye techniques.
I believe we can fill our desires without harming our Earth.

Overburden ; to burden (someone or something) too much.
Project 2 is about the cause of burnout psychologically.
Pursuing ‘sustainable practice’, I physically created a look of Project 2.
I used Hanji fabric made out of Korean paper (mulberry tree) and applied natural soil dyes.
I created a zero-waste fabrication with the fabric scraps from making process, and
some abandoned threads from others.
the fabrication is dyed with three psychological colors :
Yellow (Turmeric dyes)-Emotional Fragility
Pink (Beet dyes)-Claustrophobia
Blue (Indigo)-Lack of Emotions.
These colors illustrate the overwhelming emotion when people get overburdened and,
the fabrication shows how the feeling could be mixed in overburden.
With the project, one can consider their burden not to be burned out.
If we find a balance, we can overcome our overburden, and even learn from it
Finally, we will become a stronger person in the end.
