'Nostalgia' NDGC x HYUNDAI (2021)

The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) Korea and Songdo Hyundai Premium Outlets proudly present a sustainable summer fashion show designed by fashion design students in the FIT Natural Dye Garden Club (NDGC). The show was held Saturday June 5, 2021 at Songdo Hyundai Outlet Square along with booths for merchandising and hands-on dye experimenting.

At the heart of this fashion show is sustainability and nostalgia.

12 student designers explore personal nostalgic memories and feelings based on nature through all-natural fabrics, dyeing, and colors. Through much research on sustainable fabrics and dyeing methods, designers were able to create wearable, modern garments from scratch without leaving a mark on the planet.

The show is also sponsored by Hanji C&T who provided all the eco-friendly Hanji fabrics for the collection, as well as Coiffrst French hair salon whose trendy and nostalgic hairstyles feature on the models in the show.
